July

We've settled into a pretty consistent routine over the past month. Patrick has learned that he has to share Mommy and Alex has adjusted pretty easily to our family's weekly routine. Our outings never take us too far from the house, but each week we enjoy library story time, going to church on Wednesday evenings, and play-dates with friends. Alex does a good job on Sundays sleeping through the majority of church and even if she decides to wake up there or while we're out elsewhere, she's usually content to be held and watch the world.
Patrick has been extremely interested in numbers over the past two weeks (even more so than before). He's been learning how to count to 100 and surprised me the other day when he read the number "75" from a sign! I've been trying to broaden his horizon by exploring animals and nature, but lately he's always wanted to go back to numbers.
It has also been much more fun talking to Patrick now that he's fluent in English ;) Here's a conversations we had the other day in the car:
Patrick: *sigh*
Mommy: "What's wrong Patrick"
Patrick: "I'm sad"
Mommy: "Why are you sad?"
Patrick: "The kitties and puppies make me sad"
Mommy: "What about kitties and puppies makes you sad?"
Patrick: "I'm sad because they bite me"
Mommy: "Why do they bite you"
Patrick: "Because I poke them"
There are not too many dull moments in our house anymore. There's ALWAYS something to do, laugh at, make better, or prepare (and occasionally even clean).

Our sweet children!

Alex at 6 weeks.

Patrick wrote the numbers 1-14 on his Umizoomi coloring sheet. See if you can spot them.

A drawing by Patrick and Matt. They took turns coloring in the boxes.
