Fa, la, la...

We trolled the ancient yuletide carols, our tiny tots had their eyes all a-glow, and we definitely had a merry little Christmas. This was such a special Christmas for us because for the first time, Patrick could properly anticipate Christmas day, and Alexandra celebrated her very first Christmas (and had no idea what was going on but loved the boxes, paper and ribbon).
During December, we went to visit Santa, caroled on the streets of Franklin, made 6 batches of Christmas cookies, ate 6 batches of Christmas cookies, sang Feliz Navidad through the aisles of Bed Bath and Beyond, and watched every Christmas special Nick Jr had to offer. Patrick was so excited about Christmas coming that every morning he would run out of his room, grab the tag off of his advent calendar and announce how many more days until Christmas.
Christmas morning did not disappoint. He immediately wanted to play with each and every toy that was opened (whether his or Alex's). In fact, it took quite a bit of coercion to lead him up to our bonus room so that he could find his new train table. He received another surprise when my parents arrived later that morning baring more presents. As expected, the whole day was a little hectic but all of us had a joyous advent and memorable Christmas.
